  • Fun activities
  • Weekly session lasts 2 hours in school
  • Runs same afternoon every week for about 20 weeks each academic year

The ReachOut! Clubs aim to help children to develop academic competence, especially in English and Mathematics, through support from a mentor as a way to become better prepared for secondary school, higher education or further training.

Team activities and one-to-one mentoring help to develop our four core character values - Fairness, Self-Control, Good Judgement and Staying Power as well as our four competence areas, literacy, numeracy, memory skills and communication skills..

Working with positive role-models exposes children to new and varied ideas and raises aspirations, inspiring them in their studies and encouraging them to pursue tertiary education or further training with a view to achieving career ambitions.

We are currently looking for mentors who are willing to drive themselves and other mentors to the project. We will pay petrol expenses, and drivers will be able to sign up as a priority before other people. Please email Hannah to find out more.
