The ReachOut! Junior Mentor projects

 

Young people receive leadership and/or mentoring training and undertake work usually as peer mentors in the ReachOut! Summer programmes, Academies or Clubs.

Key Features:

  • Young people in Years 10 and above can begin volunteering themselves having firstly received appropriate training.
  • They receive the same mentoring as those attending the Club or Academy but additional activities as well.
  • A gradual process from receiving to giving support.
  • Young people may attend at a location other than their school
  • Volunteers provide literacy and nume
