MEA ReachOut! SHINE Club
Places initially available: 42
Project Summary: The aim of the MEA SHINE Club is to provide young people in years 7,10 and 11 with specialised and focused support mainly in their academic Maths and English work but also in their general personal development.
As a SHINE Mentor for years 10 and 11 you will support your 2 mentees in EITHER Maths OR English each week. Maths mentors will work for 1 hour each week with one mentee and one hour with a second mentee helping each with their Maths. You will have the same mentees each week. English mentors will do the same but helping each mentee with their English.
As a SHINE Mentor for Year 7 you will mentor one mentee in Maths in the FIRST hour and another mentee in ENGLISH for the SECOND hour. That will test your breadth of knowledge!
You will work for 20 sessions during the Academic year.
