ReachOut! Project Reviews

ReachOut! Mentoring Project
“The ReachOut Mentoring Project is a valued programme giving young girls the opportunity to form positive and appropriate relationships with young adults, who are powerful role models for the girls. While it is important and valuable that they have one to one attention and support with their academic work, it is also important that they are simultaneously broadening their horizons and social skills.”
Caroline Lee, Shacklewell Primary School, 2011

“The children love the ReachOut! Mentoring Project and they get so much out of it! For many children, it’s the highlight of their week.”
Fiona Judge, Headteacher, Springfield Community Primary School, 2010

“The ReachOut! Mentoring Project is very well organised, the mentors are reliable and the kids really look forward to their session every week!”
Liz Murray-Bligh, Learning Mentor, Jubilee Primary School, 2010

“Staff noticed a marked improvement in pupils behaviour, academic competence and attendance.”
Brook Community Primary School, 2007

Soccer School
“ReachOut! use my classroom after school each day and I have been impressed with the project. Many of our hardest to reach boys take part and spend time working hard with their excellent volunteers. Having the level of one to one interaction at ReachOut! that is not possible at school is a superb opportunity for our students.”
Jonathan Jenkins, History & Law Teacher, The Petchey Academy, 2010

"I think the ReachOut! Soccer School is an outstanding project, supporting young people's Literacy & Numeracy skills within a community environment where they are able to interact with positive role models.”
Bhupinder Singh, Maths Teacher, Rushcroft Secondary School, 2010
