map

Friday evenings 5-30 pm to 7 pm

Chrysalis, Manchester is a community-based charity providing a variety of Family Support services, including group work, counselling, crèche support and drop-in facilities. Their aim is to provide culturally sensitive services to local parents and families. They were

established in 1994, like ReachOut! We formed a partnership with Chrysalis as a result of parents and some local young people looking for homework support for their children or themselves. The children usually bring homework or revision guides to the session. Sometimes they forget, though, and you might have to be resourceful in identifying materials which you can use to help your mentee. We can offer you support in tracing resource materials.

Start date: 2nd October 2009

Age of Mentees: 8 to 18

Duration: 1 1/2 hrs plus 15 minutes transport each way.

Transport: All mentors are provided with free transport leaving from the Whitworth Art Gallery. map
