  • Use Cardboard boxes.
  • Use paint, felt tips and scissors to create whatever kind of boardgame you like
  • Snakes&Ladders is a classic and you can make your own counters to go with it
  • RO! Has dice if you need them and plenty of cardboard boxes!

Elves, Wizards and Giants

  • Like paper, scissors, stone but with real actions
  • Elf is crouched and fingers pointed by the ears (like a rabbit) whilst saying ‘eek’
  • Wizard has their arms outstretched as if casting a spell whilst saying ‘hazarrr!’
  • Giant is on their tiptoes with their arms up as well as growling

The order of who wins is as follows:

Elf shoots the wizard with its pointy ears, Wizard frazzles the giant and Giant squashes the elf.

Pictionary with Playdough

  • Divide up into teams
  • Make cards with the name of an object or animal on the back.
  • One person out of team 1 has the playdough and picks up a card but doesn’t show it to anyone.
  • It’s up to that person to sculpt the object on the card out of playdough in 1 minute whilst their team mates try and guess what it is.
  • If they guess it within the time they get one point.
