On September 26th 2017, Peter Blackwell, CEO, and Alison Braybrooks, Director of Fundraising and Impact, attended the 30th Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards at The Mansion House in London. ReachOut was lucky to be shortlisted with Impact Creative Recruitment for the Heart of the City Award amongst a great range of entries. This was the first award to be announced and our entry won, it really started the night off well!

Back in 2016, Impact developed an initiative to help diversify the creative industry’s workforce by partnering with local communities and projects, such as ReachOut, to raise awareness of the available careers in this industry.

Alison, says why the partnership has been so valuable to ReachOut: “Impact have been a fantastic partner. We have great relationships with financial services companies but our partnership with Impact has helped us to introduce our young people to a wide range of media and creative career options.”

One of our young people who was a mentee with us in 2009 was put in touch with Impact in 2016, where they continue to work now and still support ReachOut in their spare time through fundraising and being a brand ambassador for us; a great partnership that’s been formed.

ReachOut is a proud charity partner of Impact and are so pleased to be have been a part of such a fantastic award.
