WHAT IS THE BIG REACHOUT RAISE?

The Big ReachOut Raise is a week-long UK wide fundraising drive to raise £10,000 to help change the lives of young people through one-to-one mentoring.

WHEN IS IT?

You can take part anywhere between the 21st – 28th of March 2022. Simply organise your fundraiser during this week!

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

By running a fundraising event for the Big ReachOut Raise, you’ll have the opportunity to support your community, learn new skills and undertake a challenge.

WHY SHOULD YOU RAISE FOR REACHOUT?
We need your support more than ever, as we aim to work with over 1,000 young people in 2021/22. It costs £10,000 to deliver a year long project of targeted intevention for 10 young people.  By taking part in this challenge you will be directly supporting our young people to develop their character, raise aspirations and improve their academic attainment.

CASE STUDY 02

“When I first my mentee, she was very reluctant to participate in the sessions. Now, I see a completely different person! Her confidence has grown and she is happy to join in! She still has some self-doubt when it comes to academic work, but that’s what I hope to help her overcome, because she is a very bright person!

Through mentoring, I’ve learnt I’m a lot more patient than I realised. There will be days where she refuses to participate and those are the days that I really see the importance of the character strengths, for both the mentees and the mentors. It also makes it easier for the mentee to understand the character strengths, when I use them myself”

CASE STUDY 01
