ECI Partners raises £3000 during their staff away day!

We are proud to announce that we are ECI Partners newest Charity of the Year. Kicking off the partnership they have already raised an incredible £3000 during their staff away day.On Wednesday 13th October fundraisers, Kharishma and Ruby joined ECI Partners on their staff away day.The day consisted of a speech from former ReachOut mentees, Ali and Ayo followed by a morning of fun group activities hosted by Go to Events. ECI chose to build a bike as part of their team building activity.Using their Staying Power and Fairness, staff took part in 4 tasks with the aim to collect ‘money’ to buy materials to build their bike. They built six bikes in total five of which will be donated to Ambler Primary School in Finsbury Park – fully checked of course. Fancy fundraising for ReachOut at your next team away day? “When I first my mentee, she was very reluctant to participate in the sessions. Now, I see a completely different person! Her confidence has grown and she is happy to join in! She still has some self-doubt when it comes to academic work, but that’s what I hope to help her overcome, because she is a very bright person!

Through mentoring, I’ve learnt I’m a lot more patient than I realised. There will be days where she refuses to participate and those are the days that I really see the importance of the character strengths, for both the mentees and the mentors. It also makes it easier for the mentee to understand the character strengths, when I use them myself”
