In July, we held our Greater Manchester and Leeds Graduation. The day was a fantastic opportunity for all our brilliant mentees from our Club (primary school aged 9-11) and Academy (high school aged 11-16) projects to come together and celebrate the progress they’ve made during their time with ReachOut.
At the event, we handed out individual awards for young people who have made huge strides in developing their Character Strengths of Good Judgement, Self-Control, Staying Power and Fairness as well as awards for Mentee of the Year in each project, and for our Projects of the Year.
A huge congratulations to all our award winners, and to everyone who has been part our work this academic year – you are all character legends.
In every single one of our projects, we’ve seen our mentees grow in character and confidence. Throughout the last year, they’ve worked with their mentors and each other to step out of their comfort zones and work towards their goals. We’re so proud of everything they’ve achieved!
A special thank you to the University of Manchester for hosting us!
